Hi Welcome to AVIDIVA,

So glad that you have joined us ! I have a real passion for living organic. I choose organic and eco-friendly when I can. I like to think that my life motto is "first do no harm." I want to teach my babies to leave this land for future generations. 

Another reason that I choose organic is that a baby is just so pure and beautiful I want to only use products that are gentle on their pure little bodies and that i truly believe in. In saying that I am going to aim to stock such products. What you see here are tried and tested on two of the most important people in my life! 

If a product doesn't necessarily appear to be organic or eco-friendly, there may be a couple of exceptions for products that i support. It maybe a work at home mum starting out a new business venture or an up and coming Australian designer. It will be stated when this is the case and i will ensure that all products are munufactured fair trade and sweat shop free.

I have been referring to AVIDIVA as my third baby and that is what i believe it has become. There are many hours and much love has gone into making your online shopping experience one to remember and of course one that you will want to tell your friends about! There are also many hours spent researching and sourcing products as they have to meet my high standards for both quality and as my motto says they have to 'first do no harm!'  

I will stock products such as the BPA free bottles and Chemical free teats. To me its not worth the gamble to use the bottles that are not BPA free. Who knows what might come of it in years to come. It's not a gamble i am willing to take and therefore AVIDIVA will only be stocking BPA free bottles. When it comes to the companies manufacturing these products I am of the belief that if you can then you should! 

Bamboo is a great natural fibre as it requires no pesticides or fertilisers. It is said to be the fastest growing plant in the world and regenerates so that it doesn't need to be replanted. It's a very sustainable natural resource. It's also eco-friendly as it absorbs carbon dioxide at a far higher rate. It also has so many wonderful attributes for clothing. Bamboo is silky soft. I've personally found that it gets softer the more it is washed and used. If you're new to bamboo the softness will surprise you ! It's super absorbent and will wick moisture away from bub's skin up to 60% more than cotton, at the same time it is super breathable. One of the best attributes is that it is Hypoallergenic. Bamboo's organic and natural properties make it non-irritating so it's perfect for extra sensitive skin. I know i have rambled on a bit about all the 'good stuff' about bamboo but it's such a wonderful product for babies !

Along with the organic and eco-friendly products I also want to support good old fashioned home/hand made products. I love nothing more than sitting in front of the sewing machine and making something unique and funky for my little ones. With this in mind there is a range of AVIDIVA designs on organic singlets and onesies. There is a personalised onesie collection where i can place any baby's name on the onesies and hand stitch it in place in your choice of fabrics. They make a fantastic and original baby gift.
