Our 150ml (5 oz) regular neck baby bottles are made from PES plastic, which gives them a natural golden color.

They are free of phthalates and free of bisphenol A – a suspected hormone-disrupting chemical used in polycarbonate plastic, from which most baby bottles are made.

From the founders of Green to Grow:

Our decision to launch Green to Grow with a line of bisphenol A-free plastic baby bottles grew from our alarm as we read reports that highlighted the potential dangers presented by polycarbonate plastic, which contains the hormone disruptor bisphenol A—a neurological, developmental, and reproductive toxicant—and from our frustration over the lack of options. We believed concerned parents like us would welcome safer alternatives, even if they cost more due to the higher price of the raw materials used. And to ensure the highest level of quality and safety, we decided to have our bottles periodically spot tested for bisphenol A, phthalates, and lead at an environmental laboratory in Chicago, Illinois.

We have learned, in our efforts to serve as stewards of health and wellbeing for babies and children, that it is impossible to separate what is best for babies and children from what is best for the earth. To this end, we are committed to seeking environmentally sound business solutions and consider the environmental impact of every decision we make. We use 100% recycled paper and soy inks in all of our packaging and printed corporate materials and have partnered with 1% for the Planet, pledging to donate 1% of our annual sales to environmental causes.

July 2008 — Green to Grow has been awarded the influential PTPA Media Inc.’s Seal of Approval for excellence in parenting products! Products awarded the PTPA (Parent Tested Parent Approved) Seal come from many categories, ranging baby monitors, baby slings, safety gear, bedding and the most recent addition of a Green category. Green to Grow was among many entries competing to win this award. Companies throughout North America submitted samples of parenting products and were matched with PTPA Media’s large database of parents. The products were tested by savvy parenting reviewers and professionals and the results were compiled for PTPA Media Inc.’s review committee for the final decision. The winners of the prestigious Seal of Approval from PTPA Media are selected based on value, functionality, quality, and product appeal.

November 2008 — Green to Grow baby bottles have been awarded the iParenting Media Award for Best Products of 2008! Award-winning products were selected based on their fun value, product quality, ease of use, play duration, educational nature and uniqueness, among other criteria. Hundreds of products were submitted for judging in 20 categories. All products submitted for the iParenting Media Awards Outstanding Products of 2008 underwent a thorough evaluation process that uses internationally recognized standard of quality assurance. Products were thoroughly reviewed and evaluated by a variety of sources including experts and families. Results were compiled and submitted to the iParenting Media Executive Committee for final approval.
