This black soap is sourced from Ghana, and made using traditional methods. It has a soft, delicate texture with a natural earthy smell. It is non-oily and can be used for the hands, face, body and hair.

The ingredient are 100% natural and contains saponified shea butter, saponified coconut oil, saponified palm kernel oil, cocoa pod ash. Saponification is a process that produces soap, usually from fat and lye. The word “sapo” is Latin for soap.

African Black Soap: The Benefits & Uses

Black Soap is also a natural source of vitamins A & E as well as Iron. This helps to strengthen the skin and hair. Black soap contains a high amount of glycerine, which absorbs moisture from the air and literally deposits it into the skin, making the skin soft and supple. For centuries, Ghanaians and Nigerians have used Black Soap to help relieve acne, oily skin, clear blemishes and various other skin issues. Many swear by it for skin irritations and conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. Now in Australia, many us it as a natural remedy for adults, babies, and children.

Pregnancy: Women in Africa will use black soap during pregnancy (and afterwards) to keep them from getting stretch marks. It is also used to protect them from dry skin, often accompanied by pregnancy.

Hair: Black soap can also be used as a hair shampoo. The shea butter in the soap softens the hair, while the vitamins give it strength.

Babies: African Black Soap clears baby diaper rash, psoriasis, skin rash, and skin diseases that have refused to clear. It can also be used to help treat eczema.

Dad: Men can use black soap in shaving. The high shea butter content leaves the skin smooth and protected.

African Black Soap is unique in that it contains no preservatives, colour enhancers, or fragrances. It creates a soft lather without the animal fat additives.

African Black Soap is not a hard soap, like typical soap. It will dissolve if left standing in water and not stored properly after use. Please do store in a dry place when not in use.
